RMPAC

The club was founded in 1983 by 3 local people and now has over 80 members.

We meet on Tuesdays at the YMCA building in Reforne as the starting point for our 30 to 45 minute training runs on the Island's roads or the picturesque coastal path - depending on the weather! Beginners meet at 6.00pm while the main training session starts at 6.30pm.

On Sundays, when there is no Race, a long run is available, starting in Wyke.

Once a week there is also the Fursday Joggers outing across the Causeway to jog in Weymouth and then back.

Once a month we run the Club Handicap event over a 4 mile course.

Round The Rock 10k - in May - incorporating the SW Vets 10k Championship.

Portland 10 - in July.

Dumble Bimble - in September.

National Veterans 10k Championship - in October.

Other Activities

We are affiliated to the Dorset County A.A. Road Running League and take part in the annual 12 race League series as well as the 4 County Championship races.

Annual Bowls Competition: Not running! but a hotly contested Bowls morning held each year under the auspices of Dave Darby at the local Bowling Green for a much sought-after Trophy.
