The return run with Weymouth St Pauls took place on Fursday 15th July. Just over 30 runners met at the YMCA in Reforne and formed into 3 groups depending on pace. Each group ran on a route which took us along interesting cliff paths with outstanding views for about an hour. Heavy rain had been forecast but we had a cool breeze with a little rain before the end of the run. Afterwards Kath Sanderson and her team had prepared a buffet and provided hot and cold drinks. Norman White from Weymouth St Pauls thanked Dave Darby, for organising the evening, and Kath Sanderson for providing the refreshments. The Portland 10 was held on 4th July 2010. The weather was very kind to us, bright sunshine but with a cool breeze. There were 291 finishers, the second largest number for the race. The race winner was Steve Way from Bournemouth AC in 52m 56s. This was Steve's first entry for the Portland 10 but he had previously won the BMAF 10 mile championship on this course last October. Ian Habgood, 55m 59s, was second and Mark Hargreaves, 56m 12s was third - both were also from Bournemouth AC who were consequently the convincing winning team. The first lady was unattached Abigail Bayley from Weymouth in 61m 42s; second lady was Jenny Moore, 64m 02s, from Wells City Harriers, and third lady was Becky Griffith, 68m 23s, from Poole runners. The first Ladies team was Poole Runners.

Some gentle uphills. The first bridge memorable for the mass of water lilies. After driving through rain to get to the race it appeared that we were in for a cold wet experience. Then the sun came out briefly and lifted the spirits.
