History - The Silver Jubilee 10k - 4th May 2008.

Three Club members, Becky Alford, Bill Hicks, and Wayne Smith decided to mark the 25th anniversary of RMPAC by organising an open 10k race which was held on Portland on Sunday 4th May 2008. Not surprisingly they called it the RMPAC Silver Jubilee 10K. The course was the same as the South West Vets course which RMPAC organised in October 2007, so once again we started and finished at the Blues Club. As part of the celebrations the team contacted old RMPAC members to invite them to trot round or just come along for a drink with old friends. Just in case they didn’t want to do the full 10K there was a 2K Fun Run as we do before the Dumble Bimble. Two of our three founder members, our own Dave Sanderson and Eddie French started the race and presented prizes. 124 runners completed the 10k course.
